Our library collection has recently been updated; we have over 700 books and will continue to add more! Students are free to check out books from the school library.
We highly encourage parents to model good reading habits at home. Here are some ideas how you can reinforce the skills your child learns at school:
Establish a reading time everyday, even if it’s only for 10 minutes
Listen to your child read out loud and offer to read to your child
Have discussions about the book
Some class teachers may assign a book to practice reading over the weekend.
We want to make it easy for students to check out books so please feel free to make the request. Our teachers and staff would be happy to place a book in the students’ backpack to take home and enjoy.
Lastly, big thank you to the PTA moms that came to the school to help our staff organize the school library.
